The Quality and Regulatory Affairs (QRA) Directorate is a core team within the organisation, supporting and advising across all functions on quality and compliance issues. NZBS work to Good Practice Guidelines (GMP/GLP/GDP) and are licensed by Medsafe and our laboratories to ISO15189 IANZ accreditation.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your professional skills to a highly respected organisation and contribute to the fantastic things that we do every day. You will be joining us at an exciting time, as we grow and build to match the future healthcare needs of the New Zealand population. NZBS has a strong record of continuous improvement, quality and efficiency.

A full time, permanent position - the Quality Systems Manager will be the primary contact and responsible for the oversight and management of the quality systems at NZBS to ensure compliance with all relevant quality system regulations, including Good Practice Guidelines (GMP/GLP/GDP) licensed by Medsafe and ISO15189 IANZ accreditation.

You will lead our Quality Systems Team who, on a day-to-day basis, maintain the site quality management system in a state of compliance and readiness. Team members are currently based at our Hamilton and Christchurch sites.

More specifically you will:

  • Lead a team of quality professionals
  • Provide high-quality and effective quality management system leadership and direction
  • Proactively manage the relationship with electronic QMS suppliers
  • Lead on business as usual initiatives and projects that will enhance and develop the quality management system

We are flexible on your location at one of the following NZBS sites - Auckland, Hamilton or Christchurch.

About you

You will have experience contributing to change programs, working with colleagues to increase team performance and impact and curious to apply your skills to a new environment. You may currently be working in a supervisory capacity or be looking to take your first step into team leadership.

To be successful in this role you will be a strong and capable all-rounder, well-versed in all aspects of the quality system, with strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to take on improvement projects for the QRA function.

  • We offer a competitive starting salary, flexibility including WFH, as well as 4 weeks and 2 days (4.4 weeks) annual leave per annum, moving to 5 weeks after 5 years' service.
  • Long service is also offered - 2 weeks leave after 10 years' service and a one weeks' leave following any subsequent period of 5 years' service.
