About the role:
We are excited to open this opportunity for Radiation Therapists to practice at New Zealand's first outreach treatment site. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic Radiation Therapists interested in work based in Palmerston North.
The Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) is the non-surgical cancer treatment provider for the central North Island, covering a population of 580,000, in the Midcentral, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui and Wairarapa Districts. Historically all radiation treatments have been delivered in Palmerston North and this is changing for our patients in the Taranaki and Hawkes Bay regions. If you would like to be considered to work in one of these locations, this position is part of that pathway.
RCTS is the base of New Zealand's newest linac fleet (TrueBeam), supported by state-of-the-art planning system (RayStation). There is a strong culture of patient centred care with a focus on high quality Radiation Therapy for our large regional population.

Applicants for this role will need to have:
- Registration as a Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZ) and hold a current practising certificate
- Promotes and integrates into practice effective communication, cultural competence evidence- based best practice models.
- As proactive in their own development and supports others in their professional growth
- Actively participates in service improvement initiatives and promotes evidence-based practice.
- The flexibility to work across multiple locations.
