About the Role
The Radiology Department at Waipapa Hospital are on the lookout for efficient and flexible Radiographic Assistants to join our kapa (team).
This is a varied role for someone with a passion for patient care and who is looking to develop their career in healthcare.
Although you - ll primarily be working at Waipapa campus, this is a varied position which could see you working at our Burwood or Christchurch Women's campuses too.
Our service runs between the hours of 7am - 11pm Monday - Sunday, therefore you - ll be flexible in your availability and adaptable to work within varying teams and departments across our sites.
This role is ever evolving and will be sure to keep you thinking.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Interacting with patients in person and handling enquires over the phone
- Inputting patient details
- Organising inpatient appointments
- Assisting with patients
- Supporting the MRT - s or Sonographers and Registrars
About You
- Excellent communication skills as well as great attention to detail and organisational skills
- A natural team player, with the ability to see the bigger picture
- The ability to work co-operatively in a large and busy environment
- Knowledge of the Health Sector
- Experience in customer service is essential
- Confidence using computer systems is desirable
No radiology experience or qualification are required for the position however a passion for the field of Radiology and commitment to patient care is essential.
