Are you a passionate, committed collections professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? Toitū Otago Settlers Museum is looking for a strategic and experienced candidate to join the collections and exhibitions team as Registrar. In this role you will be responsible for the care, development and documentation of the permanent collection, inward and outward loans and the support of exhibitions projects under the direction of the Manager collections and exhibitions.
Ideally you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant area and a post graduate qualification in Museum studies
- Previous experience of registration/collection management role in a museum context
- Proven knowledge and experience of VERNON Collection Management software collection
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with members of the public, potential and present donors, community groups and other staff
- Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to copyright, antiquities, privacy etc
In addition to the above you will have excellent time management skills and ability to plan, set objectives and meet deadlines to ensure the efficient working of the whole team.

Salary range: $81,140 - $95,459
