Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
Are you passionate about managing emerging risks and shaping regulatory policies? We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity available to join our Regulatory Services & Assurance team.
In this role, you'll make a significant impact on both local and global dairy industries. Plus, enjoy the flexibility of working from various locations across New Zealand.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic regulatory insight, regulatory interpretation, advice and risk/issues management for an allocated region or topic area such as quota management or regulatory systems.
- Represent Fonterra’s interests in regulatory engagement with internal and external stakeholders including government officials and teams in Fonterra’s markets.
- Conduct critical appraisals of scientific research to influence future innovations and regulatory frameworks, ensuring advancements align with compliance standards and industry best practices.
- Connect with the wider business systems to understand opportunities and risks to maintain relevancy and ensure regulatory systems are appropriate and integrated.
- Simplify complex science and regulatory concepts to drive necessary changes in innovation and regulatory practices, ensuring clear and actionable outcomes
Mōu | About You
We’re looking for a motivated professional who thrives on collaboration and is skilled at navigating regulatory complexities. You will have a deep knowledge of global food regulatory systems with expertise in at least one of the areas of responsibility.
Other skills and experience we value include:
- Tertiary education: Masters or Honours tertiary qualification in science, food technology, nutrition or law.
- Experience in regulatory management, regulatory affairs, or a similar field, ideally within the food or dairy industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance diverse perspectives and drive strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving innovative solutions.
