Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve basic complaints effectively.
- Assist customers with their purchases, including helping to their vehicle if needed.
Sales & Checkout Operations
- Accurately operate the cash register and handle payments.
- Ensure tills balance at the end of each shift.
- Maintain minimum required scan rates for efficient customer flow.
- Pack customer purchases carefully, separating fragile and perishable items appropriately.
Store Presentation & Merchandising
- Refill shelves, cigarette drawers, bags, and stationery as needed.
- Return stock to appropriate locations and ensure items are correctly faced up.
- Build eye-catching product displays and follow merchandising guidelines.
- Ensure all promotional signage and pricing is accurate and well-presented.
- Help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing shop floor throughout trading hours.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Clean and tidy work areas, including checkouts, shelves, floors, and communal areas.
- Respond to and clean up spills, breakages, or hazards promptly.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Stock & Inventory
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of low or excess stock.
- Maintain stock rotation and product freshness.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
