About the Role
- Serve the rural community of Taupō in South Waikato of an approximate population of 42,000
- Work in both the Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward with your broad generalist knowledge in a rural setting.
About the Team/Service/ Location
- Taupō hospital has a 24-hour emergency department and a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a maternity unit and community mental health care.
- You will be a part of a small but supportive competent team which is covered by Emergency Medicine Specialists, Rural Hospital Medicine Specialists, Training Registrars, House Officers, Medical Students and Nursing staff.
About you
- You will be within 3 months of obtaining your Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and or hold your Rural Hospital Medicine qualification
- Be eligible for Specialist Locum Tenens and or Specialist Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
