Job Description
We are looking for a Full time Permanent Technician to join our Sample Reception Team based at our Food Testing Laboratory in Christchurch. AsureQuality are the largest Food Testing Laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere and there is good career path within our organisation.
Successful applicants will be responsible for supporting the laboratory to ensure our customers’ products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidates will be given full on the job training.
The roster on offer is Tuesday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm with some flexibility to work overtime when required
About You
We would love to hear from motivated individuals with a passion for food safety and quality. Ideally you will have or be:
- Experience in Retail, Hospitality or in a Production environment.
- Strong eye for detail.
- Have a willingness to become part of a highly regulated and fast paced environment.
- Pride yourself on managing your time efficiently and able to prioritise work effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
- Good communication skills both written and oral and computer skills in Microsoft Application such as Word and Excel
Duties will include
- Unpacking samples on arrival.
- Registration of samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Locating retention and disposal of ambient, chilled and frozen samples.
- Maintaining temperature records and keeping training records up to date.
- Assisting Customer Service and the Laboratory Technical teams with any queries.
- Assisting the subsampling team applying aseptic techniques for subsampling processes.
