Your Impact:
The a2 Milk Company is on a mission to revolutionise dairy through science and innovation. As part of our growth, we’re looking for a Science Associate to join our Research & Development team. This is a unique opportunity to support preclinical and clinical research studies, coordinate advanced testing processes, and contribute to scientific insights that shape our products and our brand.
Reporting to the Senior Research Manager and based at our Auckland CBD office you will be involved in:
Supporting scientific and R&D initiatives, including clinical and preclinical studies.
- Coordinate logistics for research samples, including courier and customs liaison.
- Assist in interpreting scientific data and preparing research summaries and reports.
- Conduct literature reviews and background research to inform study design and feasibility.
- Manage beta-casein gene and protein testing activities, including coordination with external labs and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve data systems and SOPs for sample testing and result management.
What you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in life sciences, biomedical sciences, food science or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in commercial science with product quality testing
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage data, processes and stakeholders with precision.
- A collaborative, forward-thinking mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and numerical.
