Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking a 12-month (0.5FTE) fixed term Senior Advisor Implementation - Enquiries position to support responding to enquiries that we receive from Pharmacists, health professionals, advocacy groups and members of the public.
This position is based within our Implementation Team. Our Implementation Team lead the responses to enquiries and work closely across the business to support implementation plans and initiatives for brand changes, supply issues, discontinuations, newly funded medications, and responsible use of medications and devices.
The Senior Advisor Implementation - Enquiries will primarily be responsible for:
- Writing timely and accurate responses to enquiries,
- Working closely with subject matter experts to gather information to formulate responses,
- Working closely with advisors in the team, including reviewing draft enquiries prepared by advisors,
- Sharing technical skills and knowledge with other team members, and
- Escalating trends and issues identified through enquiries
- As time allows helping with other implementation work
The Senior Advisor Implementation is Band 7, with a total range of $91,814 - $124,220 total remuneration, inclusive of 3% KiwiSaver Employer contribution. The appointment salary is between $91,814 - $108,017 and will subject to the preferred candidate's relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

We are seeking someone who can bring a strong understanding of the Pharmaceutical Schedule and knowledge of how it is applied.
Our ideal candidate would bring:
- A pharmacy or pharmacy technician qualification is highly desirable
- Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of the Aotearoa New Zealand health sector, including an understanding of health equity concepts and relevant resources/tools/strategies
- Effective communication skills, especially written communications
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent Pharmac at a senior level in a way that builds trust and enhances our reputation
- A keen interest and drive to pursue outcomes that deliver improved health outcomes for priority populations
