About the Role
We have the opportunity available to join the National Public Health Service (NPHS) Intelligence Directorate as a Senior Analyst in the Immunisation team. This is a permanent, full-time role.
This role provides strong technical or professional subject matter expertise, data analysis activities and interpretation in relevant areas and contributes to engagement with stakeholders to assist in making informed evidence-based recommendations and decisions.

About you
You are someone with deep technical and analytical skills, underpinned by extensive hands-on experience working with health data in public sector environments. You have a strong track record of applying frameworks, tools, and methods in a way that translates complex data into actionable insights. Your ability to think critically and communicate clearly allows you to provide meaningful, evidence-based advice and support strategic decisions.
Skills and Experience
- A relevant graduate or post-graduate qualification in statistics or public health
- Over five years of experience using quantitative research, evaluation techniques, and analytical tools in a range of public health contexts
- Proven experience working with immunisation data, including developing methodologies, producing regular reporting outputs, and supporting programme monitoring and decision-making
- Skilled in working with large and complex datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and quality assessment
- Proficient in SQL, R (including package development), Power BI, and Snowflake; experience with R Shiny and version-controlled workflows
- Extensive experience developing dashboards and reproducible reporting outputs
- Confident working independently or collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, with a track record of leading assigned workstreams and supporting strategic outcomes
- Experienced in synthesising complex data and evidence into clear insights, using visualisations, summaries, and analysis to support decision-making and understanding across diverse audiences
- Skilled in technical writing and presenting, with the ability to tailor communication style and content to suit a wide range of audiences, from detailed technical documentation to high-level briefings and presentations
