About the role
Supreme Barbers Limited, a leading provider of premium barbering services in the Whakatane, Bay of Plenty area, is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Barber to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional haircuts, styling, and grooming services to our diverse clientele, while also mentoring and training junior members of our barbering team.
What you'll be doing
- Providing high-quality haircuts, shaves, and other grooming services to customers
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in men's hairstyling and grooming
- Providing guidance and training to junior barbers to help them develop their skills and knowledge
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming work environment
- Engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and provide tailored services
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies
- Contributing to the overall growth and success of the business
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional barber, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong technical skills in cutting, styling, and grooming men's hair, as well as shaving techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide a personalized experience
- A passion for the barbering industry and a desire to continuously learn and improve your craft
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide mentorship to junior barbers
- A valid cosmetology or barbering license, as required by local regulations
