Senior HSE Partner
Job Description
Join Vector as a Senior HSE Partner!
Are you passionate about Health, Safety, and Environmental practices? Do you thrive in high-risk, regulated environments and have a knack for integrating HSE into day-to-day operations? Vector is looking for a dynamic Senior HSE Partner to join our team and drive excellence in HSE performance.
Join Vector and make a difference for your community. Whatever your role, you’ll help tackle global challenges while improving the lives of 1.7 million Aucklanders.
The role
As a Senior HSE Partner in the Electricity, Gas and Fibre business unit, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding HSE best practices across our teams. You'll provide technical support, coaching and mentoring to operational teams, ensuring HSE is integrated into every aspect of our work. Your collaborative approach will help us achieve the best possible HSE outcomes.
In the electricity, gas, and fibre network sectors, you will assist our operational teams and cultivate relationships with our contractors as they manage complex, high-risk tasks and obtain necessary assurances through our assurance programme.
On offer are multiple opportunities on a permanent and fixed term (1 year) basis, at Senior Partner and Partner levels.
Who are we looking for?
We envision you’ll have:
- An HSE qualification, with a wealth of experience in health and safety management – ideally gained within the energy or building industries
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand’s HSE regulatory framework, including relevant industry Codes of Practice
- Professional membership with associated HSE bodies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to partner with key stakeholders across the business and build and maintain effective relationships
Since you’ll be spending some time on sites, you’ll need a full NZ driver’s license.
