Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Due to recent business growth, we are now looking for a strategic and experienced leader with a strong market presence and home lending network, to manage, coach and build the capability of our Home Loan Partners (Mobile Mortgage Managers). The successful candidate will be based in either Tauranga or Hamilton.
We sat down with our Head of Home Loan Partners, who let us know the following about the role:
What does a day in the life of a Senior Partner – Home Loan Partners look like?
- Work across the business to drive exceptional home lending growth at BNZ; lead and inspire your team to build a customer centric culture, to provide excellent home lending outcomes for our customers.
- Role model and coach market activity that builds brand, reputation and network internally and externally to achieve exceptional business outcomes.
- Drive a strong and effective operating rhythm throughout your team.
- Demonstrate agility and own your business objectives to grow home lending through your people and business strategy.
- Lead collaboration between Home Loan Partners and the BNZ network to ensure a coordinated approach to market opportunities across the network.
What is the team culture and environment like?
You will be leading a team of Home Loan Partners across the Central Plateau, Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. This is a diverse role with a team of both fresh new faces and BNZ veterans. It is a fast-paced environment, so if you enjoy prioritising, being focused and working as part of a high performing team then this is the opportunity for you.
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
The most exciting thing is being able to put your own style, and flair into a senior leadership role! The Home Lending team has been performing well already, so you have a great foundation to leverage off, to take it to an even higher performing team.
Another exciting and rewarding part of the role, is the personal and emotional connection you have with people across New Zealand, as you play an important and positive role in helping them achieve their home ownership goals.
What will success look like for the candidate in this role?
Success = a happy, engaged and professional team consistently delivering at a high level for our customers.
You will also add value by acting as a role model when it comes to building a strong brand in market, and coaching Home Loan Partners to provide customers with excellent home lending outcomes.
What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
We are looking for a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills, who is able to challenge the status quo to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of the team.
A key requirement is to have strong technical Home Lending experience along with exceptional Business Development skills, to help you coach capability within the team, driving strong home lending performance and great customer outcomes.
