As a Senior Integration Developer, you will lead the way in creating comprehensive integration strategies, ensuring scalable, secure and efficient implementations are carried out, and in doing so building capability to manage system and application level access to our shared ServiceNow Environment.

What are some of the responsibilities of this role?
  • Lead Development Efforts: Design and build robust, scalable solutions, often working on complex or high-impact components.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Working closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver integration solutions aligned with business goals
  • Shape Technical Direction: Influence architectural decisions, patterns, and long-term technical strategies.
  • Mentor and Support: Coach junior and intermediate developers, providing guidance through code reviews, pair programming, and feedback.
  • Integration with information systems: Integrate with various BNZ systems and applications, ensuring best practice and security are front of mind
  • Maintain Technical Documentation: Ensure system-level and architectural documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster Innovation: Identify opportunities for technical or process improvement and help lead their implementation.

What projects / mahi (work) will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
  • Design, build and implement integrations between BNZs platforms, systems and ServiceNow
  • Developing control testing platforms and integrations
  • Feed improvements into BNZs practices and standards where appropriate.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
We are looking for curious individuals, who are pragmatic with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
You will bring excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, as well as mentor and coach other engineers.
You will also have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
What specific skills and experience would be beneficial for this role?
This is an opportunity for individuals skilled in API development, with a proven ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment. You will also bring:
  • Understanding of ServiceNow integrations
  • Experience with the Springboot framework
  • Experience using API gateway and proxies (eg: Kong)
  • Proficient in at least one programming language eg: Java, Python etc.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes
  • Knowledge and use of Kafka
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or similar
  • Understanding and experience using cloud technologies (eg: AWS, Azure etc) would be beneficial
