About the role:

We are looking for a Senior System Developer (permanent full-time) to lead the advanced support and development of our Power Platform, Microsoft CRM, and low code applications. This role can either be based in our Christchurch (Hornby) or Hokitika office.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead development and optimization of Power Platform, Microsoft CRM, and Low Code applications tailored to business needs.
- Provide expert Tier 3 technical support and troubleshoot complex system issues to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate closely with digital teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, implement system upgrades, and ensure effective communication on system status and improvements.
- Manage system configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure reliable operations.
- Drive software quality through code reviews, robust testing strategies, and the introduction of agile and DevOps processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and data security standards, maintaining the highest levels of data integrity.
- Document system configurations, issues, and resolutions; produce management reports on system performance and trends.
- Mentor junior developers and support training programs to maximize system adoption across the organization.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Systems Development Manager, delivering work to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience working with Power Platform and Low Code or similar systems for a medium to large organisation and or Microsoft CRM development.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in information technology or software engineering
- Strong knowledge of system configuration, data management, and software integration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience leading projects and collaborating across multiple teams to deliver technology solutions aligned with business goals.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices including agile methodologies, DevOps, code reviews, and testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Solid understanding of industry standards and regulations for lab-based systems.
