What are some of the key focus areas for this opportunity?
- Lead prudential compliance relating to retail Internal Ratings Based (IRB) models, operational models and decisions strategies to meet internal governance and external regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Drive the preparation of regulatory submissions, providing clear, accurate and timely detailed analytical evidence.
- Strengthen portfolio analysis capability with meaningful and actionable insights on portfolio trends, highlighting opportunities and ensuring that existing and emerging risks affecting relevant models and portfolios are effectively identified, monitored and managed.
- Deliver insights to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
The Senior Manager Insights and Compliance will work closely with key stakeholders and the team to provide analysis, insights, expert advice and guidance across new and existing relevant internal, regulatory and legislative requirements!
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
- Minimum of 5 years experience and in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and model risk governance, guidelines and lending frameworks typically used in major NZ/AU banks.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to proactively deliver insights to enhance credit risk models and decisions strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Well developed ability to produce clear, compelling and professional written reports tailored to audiences at all levels.
- Well versed in statistical and analytical modelling techniques used in industry.
