Job Description
He angituutanga: The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research and Insights Advisor to join our team at Hamilton City Council. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting community sentiment research and surveying, analysing data, and providing valuable insights to inform decisions about how our city is run.
- Manage a strategic programme of community engagement and sentiment research.
- Develop and execute tailored research designs to gather the right data and insights.
- Analyse data to accurately capture and summarise submission feedback.
- Identify trends, themes, and opportunities through data-driven analysis.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to understand business needs and provide actionable insights.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in research and data analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior research team members, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications

- Proven experience in market research, community insights, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and statistical analysis methods (desirable).
- Relevant industry experience or domain expertise (preferred).
- Graduate degree in a relevant field such as social science, statistics, or market research.
