The Opportunity
Are you an experienced obstetrician? Do you have a passion for quality and safety, just culture and continual improvement? Would you like to grow your clinical leadership skills in a large tertiary hospital? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Directorate Leadership Team at National Women's as Service Clinical Director of Secondary Maternity.
This SCD position comes with a generous clinical leadership component plus clinical sessions as a Senior Medical Officer (ASMS SMO SECA). Total of 0.6 FTE.

About you
We are looking for the following requirements:
- Clinical Leadership experience desirable
- Post graduate training and experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- FRANZCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- Eligible for specialist registration in New Zealand
- Ability to demonstrate medical management of Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Proven experience in all aspects of investigative and therapeutic Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role
- Commitment to our acute service including participating in the after-hours roster and planned care through clinics and treatment
