Ready to shape the voice of New Zealand’s dairy sector?
We’re looking for a proactive, creative storyteller to lead DairyNZ’s social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube—and whatever’s next. If you’re passionate about capturing unique, behind-the-scenes moments and turning them into compelling content that resonates with farmers and the wider public, this is your chance to shine. You’ll drive channel strategies, create engaging content, manage communities, and monitor the pulse of our sector’s reputation. Plus, you’ll support paid campaigns with smart scheduling and standout content. Preferred location for this role would be Lincoln or Hamilton.

About You:
You’re a passionate communicator with a deep understanding of the dairy sector and what resonates with farmers. You know how to turn everyday moments into compelling stories that connect with rural audiences and the wider public alike. With a proven track record of driving organic social media engagement, you’re confident creating content that’s both strategic and scroll-stopping.
You’ll bring:
- Experience managing social media in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong skills in content creation—writing, design, video editing—and a sharp eye for what works on each platform
- A knack for spotting trends and applying them meaningfully within a brand context
- Confidence in developing and executing social strategies that grow and optimise channels
- Experience in social media monitoring, moderation, and reputation management
- The ability to use data and insights to inform decisions and report back to stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset, paired with the confidence to contribute original ideas and creative direction
