About the role:
As a Software Consultant, you'll help direct the squad that is driving the evolution of ASB's IT technical support within the ServiceNow platform - to provide thought leadership on how to administer, implement and develop ServiceNow and other related tools to support our business.
Even at this senior level you will still be expected to get hands-on with more complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, as part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your technical expertise valued.
The focus of this role will be to work alongside the Customer Experience Owner (CXO) on long term strategies and adoption of ServiceNow modules, to grow the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and tooling within the squad.
We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. As part of the ServiceNow squad you will be asked to contribute to the following areas:
- Working with CXO (Customer Experience Owner) to help define the roadmap, refine requirements and plan work for sprints
- Technical analysis and collaboration with platforms and project teams to understand requirements and help drive technical solutions
- Build and design new ServiceNow capabilities
- Design and implement new Cloud Services offerings
- Delegation of technical work in line with CXO's requirements
- Maintain and extend existing ServiceNow capabilities
- Provide assistance with incident management
- Technical leadership with the onboarding of Flexera One
About you:
We are looking for an individual that will use their skills and knowledge of ServiceNow to help deliver a critical service for our customers. You will work collaboratively with our platforms and project teams to deliver successful outcomes for ServiceNow at ASB.
We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown thought leadership while performing your role.
You will work alongside a team of dedicated engineers who know the meaning of collaboration and support, with a wealth of knowledge of the business and products.
With regards to background, you will need the following capabilities:
- 5+ years' ServiceNow development and administration experience
- Experience with enterprise-level ServiceNow implementations
- Can design and develop applications using HTML and Javascript
- Good understanding of API design and development
- Good understanding of Cloud Services offerings
- Excellent mentoring, training, knowledge sharing and documentation skills
- Excellent Agile and DevOps experience
- Comfortable working in a banking environment with regulatory requirements
In addition, any of the following would be a huge bonus:
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Good understanding of cloud networking and technologies
- Application support and sysadmin knowledge
- A strong sense of autonomy.
