Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
As the Special Assessment Conditions Advisor, you will be the key contact for specialist advice regarding special assessment conditions policies, processes, and procedures. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to:
- Manage Special Assessment Conditions applications
- Liaise with students, parents/caregivers, supervisors, Te Kura kaimahi, schools and NZQA to provide information, solve problems and provide specialist advice
- Proactively engage with kaimanaaki providing training and guidance to improve special assessment conditions literacy to ensure ākonga are identified
- Advocate for ākonga and their whānau in cases where a SAC application is unsuccessful or when a decision is not favourable/equitable for ākonga. Present appeals or cases to NZQA

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in relationship management and a strong working knowledge of NCEA and NZQA. You possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills, and are known for being detail-oriented, flexible, and empathetic.
