There are a number of sports parks dotted around our spectacular Garden City. Our Metro Sports Turf team are tasked with looking after Hagley Park, Apollo Projects Stadium and sports fields throughout the city's community parks.
Opportunities like this don't come knocking very often. We're after a suitably- qualified Sports Turf Curator looking to further their career by becoming a part of the Council's Metro Sports Turf team based at Hagley Oval.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei
As a Sports Turf Curator, you'll be responsible for the maintenance of the playing surfaces within Hagley Park by mowing and managing the turf health on a day-to-day basis. This will ensure the sports fields meet the standards for our users and community to be able to perform and play on.
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
Your 5 years' experience in turf preparation and grounds maintenance will well equip you for this role. You'll love working in a team environment, with initiative and drive to demonstrate excellence in turf management. - Hours of work - This role requires flexibility to work around events at Hagley Oval, significant weekend work over the Summer months is required.
- Position - Fulltime Permanent Position.
- Location - This position is primarily based at Hagley Park
- Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $74,394 to $82,660 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
