About the Role:
Cordis Auckland is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Stewarding Supervisor to support the daily operations of our stewarding team. This floor-based role is all about leading by example and ensuring our kitchen and back-of-house areas stay clean, safe, and well-organised.
You’ll work closely with the Kitchen Manager and Executive Chefs to maintain high standards and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and support the stewarding team during daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dishwashing areas
- Ensure equipment and supplies are properly stored, maintained, and restocked
- Oversee food safety and HACCP compliance
- Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training
- Operate and maintain kitchen machinery safely
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in stewarding or food & beverage, ideally in a hotel or kitchen setting
- Confident leading a team and setting the tone on the floor
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP knowledge preferred)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable with basic admin tasks
