Te Tūranga - The Role:
Our Climate Change team is working on climate resilience and adaptation, and we need your help!
We need someone to help us:
- Map sites of cultural and heritage importance across the region
- Build metadata to describe significance and attributes of each site
- Analyse exposure of sites to natural hazards and climate scenarios
- Create visual outputs like maps to communicate findings
- Support location-based analysis to inform adaptation planning
You’ll be joining the Climate Change Team. We specialise in climate resilience and adaptation planning, and are known for our collaborative and forward-thinking approach to supporting future-ready communities.
Ngā Pūkenga, ngā wheako - Your Skills & Experience:
Ideal applicants for this role should:
- Be studying or planning to study Science, Engineering, GIS, Climate Change or similar related qualification
- Proven experience using GIS tools like ArcGIS Pro
- Ability to communicate technical info visually and clearly
- Knowledge of natural hazards and adaptation planning would be an advantage
- Hold a current driver's license
- NCEA Level 3 or higher
This position will be located in Tauranga.
