About the role:
The Surgical Pathology Unit provides the histology and cytology services to North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, BreastScreen Waitemata Northland and BreastScreen Auckland Central. Our IANZ accredited, well equipped department processes approximately 57,000 specimens from 30,000 patients per year from a range of specialties including, but not limited to, gastroenterology, breast, gynaecology, genito-urinary, skin and head and neck. The Unit is seeking a permanent Anatomical Pathologist, full time preferred but negotiable.
About the team:
We currently have 12FTE specialist Anatomical Pathologists on staff working as generalists with areas of subspecialist interest. Our department participates in the registrar rotation for the Auckland training scheme. Experience in cytopathology is desired.
About you:
The successful applicant must hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
