For our clients who are navigating sustainability strategies and regulatory requirements, telling their story through quality ESG reporting & metrics is critical. Our team plays a pivotal role in bringing trust and transparency to our clients’ reporting of key ESG disclosures, metrics and targets.  We are looking for an experienced external auditor to join our Sustainability, Reporting & Assurance team in Auckland at Senior Associate level. From our offices at PwC Tower in the bustling and vibrant Commercial Bay, you will be responsible for working on various external audit engagements with our clients.This is permanent, full-time opportunity, minimum 37.5 hours per week.

• Working closely with a range of clients who report in accordance with New Zealand's Climate Related Disclosures (based on TCFD Framework, and references GHG Protocol and where relevant, PCAF)

• Delivering both limited and reasonable assurance engagements of clients greenhouse gas emissions and non-financial disclosures in accordance with International Auditing Standards (ISAE 3000/3410)

• Building strong relationships with clients

This is an excellent opportunity to take your existing external audit experience and develop skills in the emerging area of sustainability and non-financial reporting. We are looking for someone who can bring the following competencies and experience to the role:

• At least 2.5 years of work experience as an external auditor for a large, global auditing firm or a firm focused on sustainability or greenhouse gas emissions audits. 

• Experience or strong interest in ESG reporting  and Global Sustainability Reporting Standards.

• Previous experience in project managing external audit engagements

• Proven experience working on external audit engagements and coaching junior staff.

• Degree educated holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
