We are looking for a Team Leader, Payables to join our Finance team based in Wellington. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls.
In this key role you will oversees daily financial transactions, resolves queries, manages financial tools, and oversees payables related banking activities.
Additionally, the Team Leader provides:
- Excellent customer service
- Tailors financial processes to operational needs
- Communicates financial information clearly
- Supervise staff, develop training materials and implement best practices to enhance financial management and administration
Ko koe tēnei | About you:
The successful candidate will have significant experience in financial management particularly accounts payable, preferably with experience in the education sector or a similar environment.
Possess analytical skills, leadership abilities, and proficiency in financial systems are essential.
- Intermediate level Microsoft excel skills (including Pivot Tables and X/V Lookups)
- Experience with FlexiPurchase or similar expense management tools or experience with other electronic or online payment systems
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge and experience in mapping processes, identifying key controls and implementing change
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial policies
