We currently have an exciting, newly created opportunity for an experienced banking professional to join us as a Transactional Relationship Manager, within our Specialised Solutions team.
In this role you will be responsible for managing, developing and growing Transactional Banking relationships across a portfolio of both Corporate & Institutional Banking clients.
The role will be supporting clients across the entire South Island, so ideally you will be based in either Christchurch or Queenstown, and able to travel between Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown and Nelson (the role will be eligible for a company vehicle).

What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Providing expertise, guidance and recommendations on our specialised products used for managing Payables, Receivables and Cash Management.
- Championing product and service developments that meet the bespoke nature of our customers.
- Building strong working relationships with internal partners and collaborating with the wider Institutional banking team and key BNZ stakeholders.
- Strengthening relationships with clients at multiple levels with the objective of being ‘banker’ of choice and ‘sounding board’ for financing ideas/queries/strategies. Aim to develop a lead relationship role

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, able to effectively build relationships, and influence across the organisation, as well as effectively manage competing stakeholder interests to ensure the best outcome for all.
To be successful in this role you will also have in-depth knowledge of transactional banking products and services, along with a good understanding of current NZ and global trends within transactional banking.
