Bhullar Enterprises Limited is seeking multiple Truck Drivers to join our team in the Auckland Region. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of a variety of goods.
Your primary base will be in the Auckland Region; however, you may also be required to travel to other regions across New Zealand. All work-related travel costs will be covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate trucks.
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and performing preventative maintenance
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
You will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 to $35 per hour.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid licence to drive trucks.
- Overseas applicants must hold a heavy vehicle/truck licence.
- Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physically fit to be able to load and unload the truck manually
- Available to start the work early and work on the weekends
- Must pass drug and alcohol tests.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Self-motivated and hardworking individual
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
