  • Perform discipline specific engineering services such as:
    • Initiate, manage and supervise Flood Resilience and Water Resources engineering projects.
    • Prepare project documentation such as proposals, designs, estimates, budgets and schedules.
    • Conduct appropriate investigations, studies, analyses, detailed design and documentation, and recommend actions.
    • Provide technical advice to engineers from other disciplines and co-ordinate the activities of other engineers and designers as required.
    • Identify issues and problems and develop appropriate and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate competency in a range of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, including TUFLOW (essential), HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS, as well as competency in a range of design, GIS and mapping software tools. Competency in programming software such as MATLAB and Python is also required.
  • Have a good conceptual understanding of relevant meteorological, hydrological, morphological, and ecological processes, to support and contextualize hydraulic modelling and engineering outcomes.
  • Develop necessary local technical systems and standards and integrate with the broader Haskoning knowledge base.
  • Consult and liaise with colleagues throughout Haskoning nationally and internationally in the Civil / Water Resources Engineering disciplines, to share information, lessons learnt, innovative approaches to problem solving, and the like.
