Our tour experience, creative workshops and event offerings let us share our creativity - offering up-close and personal tours and giving visitors an understanding of the artistry and craftsmanship that happens within our workshop every day.
At our Wētā Cave retail store guests can purchase props, merchandise and collectibles designed by our artists.
We’re looking for outgoing, down-to-earth, enthusiastic Wētā Cave Hosts, who are bilingual in Mandarin and English (and who have a passion for storytelling) to help us deliver great event experiences.
As one of our Hosts, you’ll be guiding tours and representing Wētā Workshop to our beloved guests:
- Bringing our creative journey to life by delivering guided experiences through our tour space in both Mandarin and English
- Taking guests through immersive and creative experiences
- Being part of our retail team in the Wētā Cave shop
- Selling and processing tickets
- Helping to inspire our guests to start a collection of their own by sharing your enthusiasm, in-depth product knowledge, and sales focus, creating a retail experience like no other

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- The ability to present and engage in both Mandarin and English – an absolute must
- Previous host, retail/sales, guiding or guest service experience
- A passion for movies, visual effects, graphics and/or novels
- An upbeat, enthusiastic outlook and commitment to excellent customer experience
Hours:
- We're open 7 days a week - our opening hours range from 8am to 8pm seasonally. We're looking for people with good availability across the week and weekend.
- These are casual (on-call) roles, so there aren't any set shifts.

- As part of our recruitment process you’ll need to answer a few, short video-based questions (to help us get to know you!)
- Induction and training starts mid-August (Training is fully paid)
- The hourly rate is $27.80
