Are you a highly skilled allied health professional ready to step into an advanced clinical role? Join the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit (ASRU) and be at the forefront of delivering expert, patient- and whaanau-centred care within an interdisciplinary team.

About the Role:

As an Advanced Clinician, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-level clinical expertise and leadership across complex rehabilitation cases. You’ll support and influence best practices, lead service development initiatives, mentor clinicians, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities.

This role is designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about spinal rehabilitation and committed to advancing healthcare equity and excellence in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a clinical caseload involving complex rehabilitation patients.
  • Lead and model evidence-based practice within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide specialist consultation and mentorship to other clinicians.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and models of care.
  • Contribute to research, audits, and service evaluation.
  • Champion cultural safety and health equity, upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

  • A recognised tertiary Allied Health qualification and current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • At least 6 years of post-grad experience, including 3–4 years in a specialty area.
  • Postgraduate clinical training or working toward a Master’s qualification.
  • Proven experience in mentoring, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, leadership, and communication skills.
  • A patient- and whaanau-centred, culturally safe approach to care.
  • A full drivers licence.
