We're looking for a casual receptionist to join the awesome team at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre. If you're someone who enjoys helping others and being part of a fun, community-focused space, this could be the perfect fit.
We run two shifts each day: Monday – Friday: Shift One 5:15am-12:00pm, Shift Two 12:30pm-7:30pm.
Weekends/Public Holidays: Shift One 6:45am-2:45pm, Shift Two 11am-7:00pm.
You'll need to be flexible with your availability, as this position is designed to assist the reception team with cover for staff leave, and shifts can be required at short notice.
It’s vital that you can be available to cover full morning and evening shifts on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
Promoting first point of contact resolution for customers with sales, enquiries, payments or complaints.
Receiving and responding to all general enquiries and complaints.
Cash handling duties.
Providing customer services to a vast array of internal and external stakeholders.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, so being welcoming, helpful, and customer-focused is key – whether you’re dealing with the public or supporting our internal team.
Ideally, you’ll have some experience in customer service, including handling cash and balancing tills – but don’t worry if you haven’t, as full training will be provided.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Top-notch communication and people skills
Great time management and the ability to juggle tasks in a busy environment
Confidence using Microsoft Office
A proactive attitude and the ability to think on your feet
