Job Description
Our Open Pit Operations team are on the hunt for a new Blast Crew member. This role will assist with ensuring all Open Pit Drill and Blast activities are compliant with production targets and are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Achieve a pit permit for mine and safely operate vehicles in the mining area
- Assist with ensuring the security of the Magazines.
- Ensure each blast area is correctly prepared and controlled during all loading and blasting activities, under the guidance of the shotfirer
- Follow all site procedures as required
Qualifications
- Full and current Drivers Licence, the ability to drive manual vehicles is essential
- First Aid Certificate benficial
- Mining experience and Approved Handlers Certificate beneficial
