About the Role
Waitemata District is launching a new service supporting patients in the community - Supported Transition and Restorative Team (START).
We are seeking a Charge Nurse Manager to lead the new interdisciplinary team support patients’ short-term rehabilitation and restoration in the community. Preferably you will have previous experience in a leadership role and in establishing a new service.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Waitematā START focuses on providing rehabilitation services for patients who can benefit from a short period of care at home to support their functional goals and increase their independence with activities of everyday living.
Patients are supported by the fully integrated team of Clinicians from Nursing and Allied Health disciplines supported by a strong team of Restorative Assistants.
About you
To be considered we will need the following:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse (RN level 4), with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- A minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience and 2 years’ experience as a senior nurse
- Contemporary experience in clinical professional leadership and management of a ward or community service with patients with complex clinical health needs
- Leadership and or management experience in Orthopaedics, Health of Older People, Gerontology, Rehabilitation, Restorative care
- Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams
