Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We have a 12 month fixed-term Credit Manager opportunity, where you will support the delivery of Risk Management practices within the Customer Risk Assessment function, ensuring safe, quality, growth of the lending portfolio through risk identification and decisioning of credit related risks. This includes providing expert analysis, judgement, assessment and decisioning of credit submissions including outside risk appetite escalations.
What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Ensuring the safe, quality growth of the lending portfolio through risk identification and decisioning of credit-related risks.
- Providing expert analysis, judgment, assessment, and decisioning of credit submissions.
- Collaborating with frontline lenders by providing second-line coaching that supports risk practices, risk appetite, and banker capability uplift.
- Managing Credit Risk and wider Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related risks for the Agribusiness portfolio.
- Assessing customer eCRS ratings to ensure appropriate allocation of the Bank’s capital and risk settings as required by accountability to NAB, RBNZ, and regulators.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
We are looking for someone that demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, problem solving abilities, and a proactive approach to their work. Your previous experience will show:
- Experience in Credit Writing, analysing clients cashflow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Strong understanding of lending products and principles, credit assessment, financial analysis, accounting skills and legal matters.
- An awareness of industry / sector performance and financing structures.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard and non-standard documentation and legislation as it affects financiers.
- A good understanding of key relevant legislations (ie CCCFA)
- At least 5 years’ experience in agribusiness/business/commercial lending environs whilst holding a DCA [Delegated Credit Authority].
