The Opportunity

We are looking for a Digital Optimisation Team Lead. This hands-on position is based in Veolia’s Ellerslie NZ Corporate Office.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Leading the team that provides BAU systems support for our operations teams such as user account management, troubleshooting, training, documentation and other continual improvement activities
  • Occasional onsite support or training around our New Zealand sites
  • Delivering on the NZ Digital Roadmap by Scoping, planning and delivering system enhancements
  • Being a Champion of digital transformation

What you'll need to be successful

  • Demonstrated track record of leading a team of technical specialists
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and be an active part of providing business solutions
  • More than 5 years experience supporting complex specialist systems
  • Experience working with interfaces between diverse systems, data sets, and multiple information references
  • Ability to apply analytical systems thinking
  • Strong communication skills - you will be talking with people face to face, or calling them to understand their needs.


What will give your application an edge

  • Knowledge of and experience with water infrastructure operation, field maintenance, utilities or asset management.
  • Expertise in Esri ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of HxGN (formerly Infor) EAM, Innovyze InfoAsset Manager or AVEVA/OsiSoft PI is advantageous, however a willingness and ability to learn is more important.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Experience interfacing with IT technical support (Windows, ChromeOS, Android)
  • Working knowledge of relational database principles
