Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a talented, passionate, and driven manager to join us leading a well-established team of seven. In this varied role, you will work collaboratively with the team, planning, engaging, building and leading them to achieve collective goals. You'll hold a specific portfolio focussed on extending our very successful extra-curricular AUT Edge and Beyond AUT Awards programmes, connecting with and developing our relationships with industry partners and volunteering organisations. These relationships will help ensure a deep understanding of what the different employers and industries are looking for in graduates and maintaining a solid grasp of the graduate employment market. You'll share these insights with the wider employability team to ensure relevance and accuracy of advice and information given to students.
You'll have the opportunity to facilitate innovative ways for students and industry to engage, building on what we already do successfully to support students exploring their future careers.
Ko wai koe | About you
- You will come from a people management role with at least three years demonstrable experience of building and maintaining strong partnerships, and leading successful teams.
- Careers and/or recruitment experience is desirable, ideally within the tertiary environment
- A natural 'people person' with an affinity for students and the tertiary environment, easily building networks and great working relationships with staff, students, and external clients.
- Organised, detail focussed with exceptional time management.
- Innovative and problem solving oriented.
- An exceptional communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
