Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Examinations Invigilators to join the Course Administration and Timetabling team on a casual contract. The Examinations Invigilator will aid the Course Administration and Timetabling team in running effective examination periods by invigilating exams with a focus on minimising stress and distractions for examination participants, while ensuring the proper conduct of exams is upheld.
Key responsibilities:
- Sort examination scripts and accurately check candidates’ attendance. Commence examinations on time and ensure that the prescribed examination times are complied with. Carry out effective invigilation and maintain discipline in the examination room.
- Deal with incidents that occur during the examinations according to the procedures.
- Ensure all relevant examination material is handed in at the completion of the examination.
- Ensure that examination venues are clean, tidy, heated, ventilated, and set up properly prior to the commencement of any examination and returned to the original condition at the completion of examination sittings.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Senior Examinations Coordinator.
