Food to Go Assistant / Cook

We are looking for a Full time Food to Go Assistant /Cook with energy, creativity and passion to help us produce delicious food offerings to enhance the overall experience for our customers.

Role will Include:

• Preparing and cooking Chicken & Chips and Hot Roast Chickens
• Cooking Bread and Pies (from Frozen)
• Preparing Salads
• Pricing and labelling products in the fresh department (Seafood, Butchery, Produce)
• Ordering packaging, ingredients, other kitchen supplies
• Gathering food ingredients in preparation for cooking and serving
• Gathering pots and pans in preparation for cooking food ingredients
• Weighing and measuring ingredients
• Washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing ingredients for cooking and serving
• Removing cooked food from ovens and food warmers
• Washing work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware
• Storing food supplies, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware in refrigerators, cupboards, pantries and other storage areas

The successful applicant should be:

• Reliable
• Hard working
• Team player
• Creative
• Food Safety qualified - (training can be given)
• Confident with ordering and monitoring supplies
• Experience and knows their way around a kitchen

Position is Tuesday to Saturday 6:30am - 4:00pm Immediate start available!
