About the Team/Service/ Location
This is a time of change, where the contributions of the Group Director Operations role will play a vital role in meeting clearly defined health targets and advancing our commitment to a more accessible, cohesive, and people-centered health system.
Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty serves over 255,000 people, it provides diverse health services through Tauranga and Whakatane hospitals and community facilities, focusing on accessible care for Māori and other populations. The Bay of Plenty is growing at a faster rate than the New Zealand population, which will bring significant health challenges for the district.
The Bay of Plenty workforce includes over 4,500 staff with significant ethnic and demographic diversity and collaborates regionally with other hospitals in the Te Manawa Taki region to enhance health outcomes.
About you
You will be a passionate leader with an executive level track record of success in strategic leadership and operational excellence, who thrives in collaborative environments. Your experience should include a strong background in healthcare leadership with a focus on delivering exceptional services.
Skills and experience
- Extensive senior executive health sector experience in varied environments
- Minimum 10 years Hospital or specialist service delivery experience at a senior level
- Proven experience successfully leading diverse teams through change and achieving improved results
- Adept at navigating complex challenges, driving continuous improvement, and achieving clearly defined targets
