About the role

As a Health Care Assistant you will be involved in the following:

  • Assist with practising rehabilitation exercises, restorative nursing exercises and daily living skills
  • Patient watch/supervision and/or movement with one-on-one care
  • Restocking and setting up of equipment
  • General department housekeeping
  • Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • Clerical duties as required
  • Stock reconciliation

You will need to be able to commit to rotating rostered shifts.

Hours of work are Monday to Sunday inclusive, based on rostered shifts including nights and weekends.

Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the HCA pay scale, between step one $60,100 and step five $70,358 per annum pro-rata, dependent on relevant experience.
