About the Role
This is a diverse role. Your main area of work will be in the inpatient, Emergency and Outpatient departments working with the nursing, medical and allied health teams at Te Kuiti Hospital. This role will support patients and/or their key support person/s with their health journey.
The role includes the responsibility of ordering, replacing and unpacking resources. At times this role may also be required to support the community nurses.

About Te Kuiti
Te Kuiti Hospital operates under a well-established GP-led model, providing 24/7 emergency services and managing the inpatient unit. The hospital supports air and road ambulance retrievals to Waikato Hospital for high-acuity patients requiring complex care. It also offers a variety of specialty outpatient clinics with visiting senior doctors, along with general laboratory and radiology diagnostics. About you
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleague, patients and key support person/s
- Be able to adapt and prioritise with all aspects of the role
- Organised but also able to be flexible
- Be able to build rapport and provide genuine care and compassion
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
- You are committed to working in a holistic and culturally responsive manner.
