As Lead Analyst, you'll deliver high-quality analysis and advice that supports sound business decisions. In this role, you'll critically examine financial and non-financial information, ensuring decisions are informed, future-focused, and aligned with our long-term goals. You'll manage the financial models that underpin our 30-60 year investment plan, helping shape the future of our organisation. You'll ensure that insights are timely, accurate, and add real value. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their challenges and operating environments, building strong relationships that enable effective collaboration.
You'll need to communicate complex information in a clear and compelling way, using your presentation and negotiation skills to influence behaviour and drive outcomes. You'll also support or lead critical business projects, develop innovative solutions to performance challenges, and identify opportunities for value for money.
You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Finance Leadership Team, colleagues across the Finance Group, the Transformation Office, business leaders, and cross-agency partners. Your ability to build trust and influence across these groups will be key to your success. Your analysis will be central to identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and enhancing value across the business

- A relevant qualification and at least 10 years of experience in a similar analytical or commercial role
- Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of business operations
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, succinctly and effectively, tailored to different audiences
- Ability to lead key work programmes, balance and prioritise
- A proactive mindset with a focus on identifying and improving areas that enhance performance
- Proven experience in analysing complex data to generate meaningful business insights
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with a track record of delivering results
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to build trust across the organisation
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
