Are you a visionary digital leader passionate about transforming online learning experiences? Open Polytechnic is seeking an experienced manager to lead the strategic development and operational excellence of our world-class Learning Management System (LMS), iQualify.
As the iQualify Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital learning at Open Polytechnic. Reporting to the Executive Director, Digital, you'll lead cross-functional teams across product, delivery, and technical domains to ensure iQualify continues to evolve as a cutting-edge platform for online distance and flexible learning.
You'll be responsible for aligning platform development with institutional goals, advocating for innovation, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring measurable impact through high-quality delivery. This role also involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to strategic planning at the directorate level as part of the wider Digital Leadership team.
This position is permanent fulltime position based at our campus in Lower Hutt, with some flexibility around working from home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the iQualify platform
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact digital solutions
- Oversee budgeting, resource planning, and performance monitoring
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Advocate for innovation and future capability development
- Ensure alignment with Open Polytechnic's learner experience priorities and strategic goals

- A tertiary qualification in digital product management, education technology, IT, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing digital platforms, ideally within education or learning technology
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- A strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Prior experience with LMS platforms is highly desirable
