Your day to day
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Executive to lead marketing communications for InterContinental Wellington, with a strong focus on our dining outlets and conference and events spaces.
In this role, you’ll help bring our brand to life through engaging campaigns, content creation, and strategic planning that drive revenue, grow brand awareness, and enhance guest engagement, both online and offline
- Supporting marketing initiatives for our Food & Beverage and Conference & Events departments to increase visibility and bookings
- Showcasing seasonal promotions, new menus, and special experiences through creative marketing strategies
- Building strong relationships with clients, media, and brand partners to boost reach and exposure
- Managing digital content, social media platforms, and third-party listings to grow online engagement
- Coordinating the production of marketing materials, including digital, print, and point-of-sale assets
- Maintaining consistency in messaging and visual identity across all channels
- Collaborating with regional and national marketing teams to ensure alignment with IHG brand standards
- Organising hotel photo shoots and managing our image library
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about hospitality and marketing. You’ll play a key role in showcasing one of Wellington’s most iconic hotels and helping us deliver memorable guest experiences.
What we need from you
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree equivalent in marketing or related field
- Knowledge of paid/organic Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Management
- Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive approach, with strong drive for results and a track record of achievement
- Understand and proficient in marketing, e-commerce (inclusive of Social Media platforms) and copy writing skills
- Marketing experience within hotel, travel or F&B industry is preferred
- Strong project management & co-ordination skills plus ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder initiatives. You must be able to run projects from end-to-end and help prioritise jobs internally.
