We are looking for a friendly and organized GP Receptionist to join our busy and supportive team. This is a vital role at the front desk of our practice, where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, both in person and over the phone.
The Role
As a GP Receptionist, you will be the heart of our practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our patients and clinical staff. You will manage a wide range of administrative duties, handle patient inquiries with care, and maintain a calm and efficient reception area.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication: Greet and check in patients, answer phone calls, and respond to general inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
Appointment Management: Schedule and manage appointments, process cancellations and reschedulings, and coordinate with doctors and nurses.
Administrative Tasks: Register new patients, update patient records, manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, and handle prescription requests.
Practice Support: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, manage patient flow, and assist with general administrative duties as needed.
Confidentiality: Handle all patient information with the utmost discretion and adhere to strict confidentiality protocols.

Previous experience in a medical or customer-facing administrative role is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
