About the role
At Scania, we are passionate about our customers and ensuring that we deliver them a great performing (and great looking!) vehicle from the time they are given the keys.
To ensure this happens every time, we have an opportunity for a Production Manager to lead our New Vehicle Preparation Teams and guarantee that our customers vehicles hit the road looking their best!
Exciting role, with a strong focus on ensuring delivery of new vehicles to our customers within time constraints and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, creating a culture with a focus on safety, profitability, sustainability, trust and team work
- Proven ability to move outsourced activities in house
- Effectively manage the operation of the main, and off, site NVP workshops
- Maintain, mentor and upskill NVP employees
- Nationwide Production Planning, inventory management and control of lead times

About You
You are an experienced Production Manager with a passion for transportation, experienced in leading a team to ensure processes are delivered to the highest standard in a timely manner. With a continuous improvement mindset and strong experience in ensuring processes are relevant and performed to the highest safety standards.
With strong technical knowledge of the truck and/or transport industry, you understand how to build an effective New Vehicle Preparation process and deliver results through your team.
A leadership style that is both confident and reassuring with a strong emphasis on building trust and confidence, you are able to work with key stakeholders to help them through difficult situations where they require expert assistance.
Empowering and delegating to others is your preferred management style.
A fast paced environment is where you thrive to effectively manage peaks and troughs in demand by building strong relationships with our pre-sales and sales team in order to create a work schedule that provides confidence and predictability to your team and customers.
