At our heart, Whānau Āwhina Plunket is a nationwide charity devoted to helping little lives thrive. Following an internal movement, we have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to join our small, but experienced and well-respected team.
This is a permanent 0.8 FTE role, which can be worked either as shorter days or with Fridays off. We work in a hybrid way, ensuring we connect as a team in our central Wellington office but also have the flexibility to balance mahi and life.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
You'll be confident to take ownership of Plunket's end-end fortnightly payroll processing and build on the strong foundations we have, encouraging continuous improvement to ensure we continue to deliver to the business needs. You’ll lead and develop a small, experienced team of three Payroll Administrators who know our business well and deliver stellar care to our managers.
This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise, leadership, and customer-focused mindset to a role where you can make a real impact, ensuring kaimahi are remunerated for their excellent mahi in the community.
He kōrero mōu | About you
Collaboration is key in how we work; you’ll partner closely with Finance, HR, and managers across the organisation. As an active listener, you will take time to understand the business, wider teams, managers, and your team before guiding and advising on the best solutions. You’ll know how to balance meeting business needs with working within payroll frameworks and legislation.
Experience with TechnologyOne (TechOne) will be a strong advantage but provided you are tech-savvy and proactive, learning a new system shouldn’t be a barrier.
You will have experience leading or coaching a team and be confident to be our subject matter expert in all things payroll.
Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What we offer
